Abstract
In this paper, metrological confirmation is presented as the set of calibration, verification and maintenance activities that ensure the correct equipment operation. The application to direct and comparative equipments illustrates the activities interrelation. Such approach is meant to achieve the continuous improvement in equipment management and in other related processes in analytical chemistry laboratories.
