Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests lie at the intersection of accounting and entrepreneurship. I empirically study the role of financial information in young companies, ranging from contexts of early stage financing rounds up to IPO processes. Before joining ESADE, I was an Assistant Professor at Tilburg University and a visiting scholar at the Kenan Flagler Business School. I obtained my PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Prior to academia, I first worked as an auditor at PwC and I later developed consulting activities for several public and private institutions, including the design and implementation of the ABC model at the Barcelona City Council. I also became part of the Exoticca founding team, a Barcelona-based online travel agency. Aside from my main academic activity, I regularly consult start-ups in the preparation of financial information, both for fundraising and operational purposes.
