Resum
The aim of this article is to inform about the state of an investigation carried out by private companies, universities and other Spanish research centres for the Food sector and, especially, in relation to food safety. The Spanish practical approach to this topic is very similar to the rest of European countries, since their needs are very similar. Consumer demands are very important when investing in research and development. It is essential to focus the investigation on the development of analytical methods to guarantee food safety.
