Resum
A potentiometric In/In2O3 sensor, for measuring oxygen activity in molten 44.5% lead - 55.5% bismuth alloy, has been evaluated. For this purpose, the following experiments have been carried out: evaluation of the sensor performance alternating 99.999% N2 and air (20% O 2), influence of the operating temperature on the sensor response in the range of 400 °C-500 °C, and effects of the sensor depth under LBE and of the material of the tube for the gas inlet on the sensor response. All the tests have been performed in stagnant conditions in an autoclave.
