Globalisation is sometimes an "idol" word. It responds in part to the truth of a phenomenon, but is also a weapon wielded by some to maintain unjust situations. The chapter defines globalisation in a complexive way (techno-economic, socio-political and cultural globalisation) and offers some tensions for discernment to those interested in spirituality and in the commitment for a more human globalisation.
