The aim was to describe, analyze, and compare the involvement showed by 190 students who participated in an introduction of ICT's Project named Ponte dos Brozos. By means of an ICT technical competencies test and an Internet browsing test, instrumental knowledge, access and information selection processes were afforded. The objective was to respond if the students who usually worked with ICT in their classrooms, had better knowledge and management with computing tools, and if they are better prepared in researching and selecting information. Results showed that students who have a higher contact with ICTs know about the technology and how to use it. In addition, they have a better knowledge and control of the computer and operative systems, and with the Internet, those children present a better information management level, although their literacy in information is devoid.
