Resumen
Firms can engage in a sustainable development agenda throughout their operations, products and relationships with their stakeholders for various reasons. First of all they might do so because they understand it is the right thing to do following moral or normative arguments. Secondly, they might because they feel pressured by different international organizations, active stakeholders, advocacy groups or different world watchers. A third reason might be because they understand that being socially responsible its not only a duty or a way to avoid risk but an immense opportunity to create differentiation strategies that may help the firm develop sustainable competitive advantage and at the same time contribute to society as a whole.
