Resumen

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) manifests in persistent difficulties in social communication, interactions, and the presence of repetitive behaviors. Children with ASD often encounter hurdles when forming relationships and navigating social scenarios effectively, highlighting the necessity for tailored interventions. The DivInTech project aims to leverage technological advancements, specifically Socially Assistive Robots (SARs), to create activities catering to children with ASD within educational settings. By collaborating with schools featuring intensive support for inclusive schooling (SIEI), the project designs activities using SAR interactions, gradually transitioning from robot-centered to human-centered interactions to enhance inclusivity. The project employs a user-centered design methodology, involving multidisciplinary teams and parental input, to tailor five interventions based on individual needs and abilities. Comprehensive data collection provides insights into the interaction dynamics, allowing for spatial and temporal analysis. This initiative aims to enhance social interaction, communication, and overall well-being for children with ASD, shedding light on the potential of SAR interventions within inclusive educational settings.
