Resumen
The article undertakes a brief revision of three main aspects of Pedagogy and the professional role of the pedagogue in the 21st century. Firstly, the text revises some of the main lines of the pedagogical transition currently taking place in the new century. Secondly, the study points out some main traces of the evolution of the professional identity of the pedagogue and its related university training process. Finally, the argument of the article underlines the relevance of the professional organisation of the pedagogue in order to fully cope with its social function.
