Resumen
The aim of this work is to develop a methodology that is a direct result of small and medium enterprises' (SMEs) needs and responds to their possible lack of resources to perform deep safety analysis. Five Spanish enterprises working in fine chemicals have been visited and they have been asked to try to use the HarsMeth and the Check Cards for Runaway (CCR) methodologies. The feedback received is used to improve the two methodologies, combining their strengths into one final tool for hazard assessment. The final methodology is called HarsMeth version 2.
