Descripción

"Differences in judgements appear on group decision-making as human thinking interprets and perceives the reality. Fuzzy linguistic terms are used to manage situations in which experts provide their assessments with uncertain expressions and hesitate between several values. On the other hand, when searching for items, such as destinations, attractions, restaurants, or travel arrangements people traditionally turn to recommender systems (RS) for assistance with finding items suited to their personal preferences. These RS leverage the ratings and profiles of individuals that in general are described by means of ordinal scales that can be associated linguistic terms.

In this direction, this project has three main objectives:

FIRST OBJECTIVE: Study and adaptation of multi-criteria decision-making methodologies in fuzzy linguistic terms sets framework.

SECOND OBJECTIVE: Definition of measures of consensus among experts when using fuzzy linguistic terms. Definition of measures of consensus among users under linguistic assessment.

THIRD OBJECTIVE: Apply the theoretical results obtained to three different real case applications. First, an application to a real case to assess costal coastal municipalities to implement sustainable marine itineraries will be considered. Second, we’ll analyze a location decision problem for European energy companies. Finally, a clustering approach to understanding users’ lifestyles will be developed.
