Validación de una metodología de caracterización elastoplástica cuasi-estática simplificada de materiales termoplásticos inyectados en proceso industrial para simulación estructural 800x600

Abstract

A characterization methodology of materials to use the traditional elastic-plastic constitutive model (with Von Mises Isotropic Hardening criteria) is proposed. This is to achieve a better response in static computer simulations (CAE) for thermoplastic parts. This characterization strategy must be simple in application to facilitate regular use in industry. In this methodology, the variables with an important role in the mechanical response are to be included (Curve parameters and FEM parameters) for their straight-forward implementation. It is important to comment on the Factor de Escala Master variable, which takes into account the reduction of material mechanical properties in the context of the standard injection process. This phenomenon has been previously researched, and the conclusions presented at the 16th International Congress on Project Engineering in 2012. The validation of the methodology is performed using a hybrid test-simulation exercise. A flex test with torsional component on a door handle cover on a current automobile panel is selected. It highlights the correlation of experimental values versus the different FEM models implemented.
