Abstract
The intention of the following lines is to describe the model of democracy the author proposes for Bolivia. In this short text, aimed simply at giving an overview of a reality that is always far more complex, I hope to address some of the aspects I believe crucial when addressing this subject. Such aspects include: what is to be understood by a quality democracy, the relationship between democracy, the market and public institutions, and finally, the citizens' requirements inherent in the democratic model. I end the paper by sharing my thoughts on several aspects of Bolivia's current political and institutional situation.
