In the last years, Simulating Moving Bed appears as a good option for the continuous separation of fine chemicals'. Rapid and precise methods of simulation of chromatographic columns are very useful in order to the design and configuration of that systems. Mathematical models used for this kind of simulation usually take care of different factors of non ideality. In this work, an efficient method is presented for the simulation of the performance of an adsorption column, using the transport model. The results are compared with those obtained by a polynomial collocation method, and with some theoretical results well known, too.
