Abstract
The power and authority relations between the different stakeholders involved in a sector have a strong influence on the formulation and implementation of the "set of strategies". This chapter sutidies oil and gas governance in Ghana with a view to contribute to the debate on good governance. How is the4 use of power me4chanisms affecting free and critical debate in the governance processes of the oil and gas sector in Ghana? We identify barriers to transparency and accountability, and also opportunities for the implementation of good strategies.
