N2 - This work in progress aims to help achieve an early diagnosis of cognitive and functional deterioration in elderly people who live alone through the use of Acoustic Event Detection (AED), Wireless Acoustic Sensor Networks (WASN) and Internet of Things (IoT). As of now, four fully functional networks have been deployed and are acquiring data in order to build a custom dataset.
