Abstract

We thank Martela (2023) for engaging with our work on corporate intentionality, and we are grateful for the opportunity to discuss this topic further. Martela highlighted the need for a rigorous ontological account of organizational purpose: this note expands upon the account in our original article (Morrison & Mota, 2023), first by discussing in greater detail the nature of the corporate mind, and second by explaining the relationship between the corporate mind and our conception of organizational purpose.
