The Future of Artificial Intelligence: Toward the AI-Organization

This article aims to shed light on the impact of AI on organisations
and the likely emergence of a new organisational model, with implica
tions for both managerial practice and the redefnition of the manage
ment function. To this end, we frst review the evolution and current
state of AI; secondly, we analyse previous models of disruptive technology
emergence, leading to the hypothesis of a dominant usage design that
will shape organisational architectures; and fnally, we present this mod
el, supported by evidence drawn from observations of current corporate
dynamics.
