Abstract
This paper presents an integrative constructivist approach to three of the relevant transdiagnostic concepts in depression and anxiety: Negative Affect and Positive Affect, Anxiety Sensitivity and Intolerance to Uncertainty: Clinical research from the comparison between outcome and common and differential therapeutic processes in anxious and depressive patients as well as in commonalities and differences in their self-narratives is used to contrast the relevance of these concepts as well as their compatibility with the integrative approach to constructivism.
