Abstract

Existing concepts and theories of international business fit uneasily wit international retailing. New ideas and approaches are needed to understand the activity of international retailers. Strategic Issues in International Retailing illustrates and evaluates the strategies of international retailers, exploring concepts and developing theories that enable an understanding of retailing at an international level. A series of case studies are explored of Inditex-Zara, Carrefour, The Boots Group, Royal Ahold and Tesco.
