Abstract
The present chapter is devoted to an overview of the several types of MS analyzers available on the market and their main characteristics. Their performance for the analysis of target, non-target and unknown pesticides in food matrices, considering the availability of software spectral libraries will be presented. The strengths, weaknesses and complementarities of different MS platforms are discussed in terms of selectivity, sensitivity, fragmentation, robustness and confirmation capabilities of each instrument.
