Abstract
Instagram is a social network site with a significant annual growth. The aim of this study is to identify the motivations to use Instagram, their priorities according to age group and sex, use intention and attitude regarding Instagram in Spanish young and teenager’s students. 106 secondary and 96 universi-ty students participated in the study. They comple-ted anonymously a questionnaire about their social and psychological motivations, Instagram use, in-tention and attitude toward Instagram. Results show that there were five types of motivations: peeking, archiving, social interaction, self-expression and es-capism. Instead, attitude and intention correlate di-fferently according to sex and age.
