Abstract

Summary. Active learning has been shown to improve learning outcomes as well as increase student motivation, confidence and control. At the same time, the positive assessment of Moodle, as a tool for exploring new teaching strategies, suggests that an active learning strategy using Moodle as a virtual platform could result in an improvement in students’ academic performance. The aim of this study is to assess the results of an active learning strategy using Moodle platform in students of the Biology subject of the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. The level of motivation, confidence and control and the perception of usefulness of the Moodle platform will be studied by questionnaires that will be answered with a Likert scale. The academic results of the students of the 2020-2021 academic year will be compared with those of the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years.
