Abstract
The miscibility of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine/sulfatide monolayers was studied by using compression isotherms and differential scanning calorimetry. The mixing excess free energies, interaction energies, and interaction parameters of these mixtures were calculated from the compression isotherms. The influence of pH and Ca2+ ions in the miscibility was determined. The results show that these parameters have a very small influence in the miscibility energies of this binary system.
