Abstract
This article addresses the role that mindfulness can play in the major socioecological transition that our societies require. We present a qualitative study that analyzes its effects on the lifestyles of participants in an intense educational mindfulness process. We are interested in analyzing the potential of meditation practices in promoting an ecological self. The results show that practicing meditation may also be an important educational resource for students and teachers in renewing and strengthening education for sustainability.
