Research output: Not indexed journal articleArticle

Abstract

Specialized literatura has paid little attention to the two issues dealt with in this paper: the organizational aspects of management indicators and the problems involved in introducing these indicators in public administrations. The paper begins with an analysis of the various reasons for, and the organizational implications of, introducing indicators and goes on to underscore the close links between management modernization initiatives and improved information systems. The paper concludes that the introduction of indicators is a case of managing organizational change.
