Abstract
In this first part, the article reminds us of the varied significance of the concept of culture, to deal with the subject of its phenomenology from the category of representations, meanings and expectations, and to dra~ the itinerary of a theoretical framework upon which we can structure a kind of discourse on health. In the section of expectations, the text is extended and focuses on religion, as a social expression of values, and the interpretation that Gaudium et spes Constitution gives to culture, as an approach to the current social reality. Finally, he establishes the connections between what is called the anthropology of action and the construction of health.
