Abstract

In this article, there is an initial reflection on the significance of adolescent group dynamics (GD) in academic Secondary Education environments, their evolution and influence on performance. Likewise, there is some comment on the role of group dynamics techniques such as growing-up situations, induced to experience self-knowledge and knowledge of others, dialogue, criticism and agreement with the entire person. After a short description of the current state of GD in Secondary Education, the article emphasizes the need to promote group tutorial and the elaboration and updating of Tutorial Action Plans as a strategy for improvement in the current liquid times; awareness of GD by all teaching staff and of some specific techniques by Secondary Education tutors, as well as the need to personalise these activities and develop their own versions so that they are adjusted to the situation of the particular group.Learning with the entire person, an old and well-known idea disseminated by educators, cannot be regarded as an objective already attained. Experiential learning provides us with tools to improve confidence in the person’s ability to improve through self-knowledge and interaction with the other classmates.
