Abstract

We focus on buyer as a source of technological knowledge and examine the conditions under which a supplier firm accumulates technological knowledge from its buyer at the relationship level. We use buyer-supplier relationship data, patent data from USPTO and accounting data from Compustat for our study. We use panel data econometric techniques for the analysis.
