Abstract

Incoterms, one the most outstanding creations of the International Chamber of Commerce, which simplifies contracts by including one of their combination of 3 letters which explains where the risk is transferred, if the goods have to be insured, what mean of transport is to be used, etc, are now under revision. As every ten years, the three year process of updating the terms so to be in line with international daily practice has arrived to its second draft. After some doubts, the new Incoterms will be in force in 2011 and there might be only 11 terms.
