Research output: Not indexed journal articleArticle

Abstract

How Gadamer formulates the philosophical problem of transmission in its capital work 'True and Method' (1960)? One of the key questions in the arguments of this author is 'to make justice to historicity of comprehension'. In this article we try to make a lecture of Gadamer's text from this specific concept. This question help us to distinguish the approach between Gadamer and his former teacher Heidegger, but also to focus and understand some issues implied in the general problem of time and its relation to historicity as a human condition of the existence. Now, what is the real problem in Gadamer philosophical approach of historicity of comprehension? It is the problem of what Jankélevitch would define in the earlier fifties 'the role of non comprehensible in comprehension' This is the point from wich to explore the phenomenon of transmission (cultural and also educational) in Philosophy.
