Extracción y cuantificación de saponinas de nueces de jabón para su posterior formulación en jabón comercial

Research output: Book chapterConference contribution

Abstract

The project aims to improve the quality of life of women in rural communities in Achham, Nepal, through the manufacture and sale of a vegetable soap obtained from the fruits of Sapindus mukorossi. The shells of its fruits have a high content of saponins that act as natural cleaners. The extraction, quantification and identification of saponins from soap nuts has been optimized for their subsequent formulation into a commercial soap. This project represents a significant step towards the empowerment of women in Nepal through the valorization of their natural resources, the creation of decent employment in rural areas and the creation of sustainable products. By integrating women into the core of economic activities, their active participation in the local economy is encouraged, which strengthens community cohesion and improves their quality of life.
