Translated title of the contribution: Scientific paradigms in education research and the psychological field model : In recent years in education research, there has been an implicit need to frame a thesis or article under the umbrella of one of the three classical paradigms of scientific rationality (positivist, interpretive and socio-critical). Educational discourse has been peppered with conti-nuous references to the scientific paradigms, and their limitations or excellence has been hig-hlighted depending on the ideology. This may interfere with real scientific concerns, due to the fear of being labelled: if research is linked to one paradigm, the interpretation of its content may be biased from the outset. In this line of thought, if researchers adopt a field model for education research, they can avoid making a choice that may be contrived and reject an eclec-tic method that is no more than a selective assumption of the “paradigm” concept.
