El estallido del cristianismo. La crisis del creer, entre Michel de Certeau y Chantal Delsol.

The aim of this contribution is to outline how the post-conciliar crisis of the 1970s has left such a deep mark on Catholicism that a large part of current sociological, anthropological and even theological debates return to questions that were then left in suspense, both about the meaning of beliefs as well as the symbolism of everyday practices. The evolution of the Jesuit Michel de Certeau continues to be exemplary, as demonstrated by some of his formulations: the "weakness of believing" or the "missing presence." A minor work, such as The Burst of Christianity (1974), with which The End of Christianity (2021) by Chantal Delsol is compared, will constitute an explanatory thread of central themes of an era that seems to resist dying.
