Abstract

This dossier proposes to gather works of several researchers that analyze transnational, national, regional and local Iberoamerican spaces, with the view to examine the role of the social actors, the policies applied on different scales, and the cultural representations formative in the shaping and reproduction of contemporary migration processes. We believe that the tackling of historical processes that complement and integrate the analysis from these various perspectives allows to deepen general features, as well as to identify particular and unexplored aspects of this region. They are also issues that help to deepen the perception of individual and collective experiences that have been promoted by European migrations and exiles in the Americas.
