Abstract

The non-parametric (NPK) kinetics method has recently demonstrated its applicability in the determination of the crystallization kinetics of polymers, such as polypropylene (Monzón in Determination of polymer crystallization kinetics with the NPK method, 2022) and high-density polyethylene, by comparing the results with the most commonly used models to describe the crystallization kinetics of polymers. The greatest advantage of NPK method is that the information of the kinetic model and the temperature function can be obtained through vectors calculated by a mathematical model, even when the model for the conversion or the temperature function is unknown. The aim of this work is to verify that the NPK method is applicable to the crystallization of two different types of polyethylene: linear low-density and low-density polyethylene.
