Abstract

This paper proposes a novel Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) configuration that achieves high selectivity and low insertion loss at C band frequencies, optimising performance in C band operations. A peano fractal curveinspired FSS structure is embodied on a FR-4 substrate. The proposed design is analysed for transmission coefficient and reflection coefficients and shows good bandwidth, resonance frequency stability, and angular stability at 3.9 GHz-4.0 GHz. It is suitable for applications requiring precise frequency control, such as satellite communications and electromagnetic isolation at 4GHz.
