    Abstract

In this paper, a compact communication platform with four multiple antennas is proposed for LTE MIMO applications. For a higher antenna population in the handset platform, one pair of small MIMO antennas with a ZOR in-phase electric-field-distribution is adopted along with another pair of size-reduced modified monopole MIMO antennas. Basically, the areas of the radiators are 0.98mm×5.5mm and 1.28mm×4.0mm, which plays the key role in their placement on the top and bottom edges of the realistic handheld device and low correlation coefficient. The design has been carried out to have the resonance in a 2.4GHz-LTE band, and it turns out a useful MIMO performance with the antenna gain greater than 1.3 dBi, and the isolation over 8 dB for all the MIMO antennas.
