Abstract
Based on an empirical study this article provides insights into how a leadership development program based on service learning assignments can help current and future leaders to develop competencies required for coping with leadership challenges (such as corporate responsibility, stakeholder interaction and cultural diversity) faced in a global and complex stakeholder environment.
