Abstract
With this paper we present and analyze an aspect of the lyrical activity in Barcelona during the 19thCentury (period 1844-1851). This period corresponds to the operatic programming due to the two Societies (Filarmónica and Apolínea), outside the two hegemonic theaters of the city: the Teatro Principal (or Santa Cruz) and the Gran Teatro del Liceo. These activities confirm the preeminence and hegemony of Italian opera in general and Donizetti in particular.
