Abstract
One of the main learning difficulties in a first university course of physics isunderstanding the concept of force and its integration into the free body diagram ofa system. To support the acquisition of such knowledge, while facilitating activelearning and continuous assessment of students, a new simulation has beendeveloped and this has been integrated into the assessment system of a learningmanagement system.The application simulates the behavior of a system consisting of two bodies stackedon an incline. This simulation can be executed according to two modes: the correctmode, in accordance with the laws of physics, and the modeled mode, according tothe free body diagram represented by the user.The system also incorporates utilities that allow its use to be graded automatically.
