Abstract

The twofold purpose of this article is, on the one hand, to analyze the relationship between social education and health education, situating both of these in the framework of their contribution to people’s biopsychosocial well-being, in which social and emotional skills have a crucial role, and, on the other hand, to review a number of key actions for the learning of basic social and emotional skills (self-knowledge, self-control, social awareness,
social skills and responsible decision-making) from the twin perspectives of the intervention as such and of its development by the educators themselves.
