Biodegradable elastomers for applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine

Research output: Indexed journal article Articlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper reviews the different types of biodegradable elastomers described in the literature. The major classes of bioelastomers are briefly described in terms of their synthesis, properties and biodegradability. The classification of the materials has been done regarding their chemical structure. Their use in contact with cells are also highlighted.
