Abstract
Teaching strategies used in three groups of the Nursing Degree: Problem-based learning (PBL), case studies and traditional methodology to address cancer patient. We present an assessment test, which objective was to measure progress and development of competencies, comprising assimilation of concepts, theoretical reflection, manifestation of possible causal relationships and decision-making in a specific case of nursing and their results and methodological comparison. PBL has obtained the best results, followed by case studies and traditional methodology
