Abstract

This work presents the redesign of ‘Information System’, a subject included in the fourth academic year of the degree in ICT Management Engineering that is taught at La Salle, Universitat Ramon Llull. Within the framework depicted by the New Learning Context (NLC), the subject was redesigned by the instructors based on a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The redesign included a stage in which feedback from students and instructors was collected by the coordinator of the subject and the issues identified were addressed. Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Institution decided to deploy a Smart Classroom (SC) system, in the classrooms and the laboratories of the campus to ensure academic continuity. Feedback on the subject from both students and instructors has been extremely positive since it was reshaped in the 2019–2020 academic year, with students in particular rating the PBL instructional methodology as favorable.
