Abstract

The area of the Ionian sea, between Albania and the Southern Italian Peninsula, has been taken into account for the production of geomagnetic component maps. Data from the national Albanian and Italian magnetic repeat station networks have been merged, and normal reference fields in latitude and longitude, have been computed. Data processing, reduction procedures and comparisons with IGRF are presented.
