Abstract
The article assesses the impact of an educational support and guidance programme implemented in Catalonia, which involved 495 children and adolescents in 13 municipalities. By means of a descriptive statistical analysis, the results present the perception of impact of interest groups, evaluations of the objectives achieved and academic performance. The assessment is positive, showing better results than the avera-ge for school failure in the national studies used as points of reference. The research positively endorses the effectiveness of schooling support and guidance programmes when these meet the requirements of intrinsic quality and work in the territory, as a type of provision that may be in-creasingly relevant for social education, given the current state of education in the country.
