Ionospheric irregularities affecting ionospheric tilt and radio signals.

This proposal aims at promoting the Internationalization of the group of Geophysics of the Ebro Observatory (Univ. Ramon Llull, URL) by involving joint efforts of scientists from Boston College (BC) USA and from URL, Spain. In 2015 we began analysis of a large database of digisonde measurements collected at Ebro Observatory. We concentrate on the measurements of ionospheric tilts, which makes it possible to detect the presence of Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances (TIDs) and establish its basic parameters. Having those established will make it possible to refine the physical picture of the nature of characteristic features of these disturbances. In addition, the promotion of the URL team by involving joint efforts with scientist from Instituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Rome, Italy (INGV) will be broached if funds are enough.
