Resum
Corticosteroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome represents 5% to 10% of all nephrotic syndromes occurring in children. This term comprises a heterogeneous cluster of entities, such as focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, diffuse mesangial sclerosis, membranous glomerulonephritis, mesangiocapillary glomerulonephritis and minimal-change nephrotic syndrome. Despite the disparate features of these diseases, they present a common characteristic in that they are all resistant, to greater or lesser degrees, to treatment with corticosteroids. Many of the studies reported in the literature present them as a single group subject to the same therapeutic approach. In this review, we study the treatment of all these entities as a group, but focusing in particular on the treatment of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.
