Resum
The object of this presentation is to introduce ten concepts used in a book on legal anthropology (Laura Nader, The Life of the Law) and to reflect briefly on them from the perspective of legal education. In the presentation I make reference principally to continental legal education, as exemplified by the Spanish experience, although most of the points are also valid, in spite of the differences, for the American common law system. The ten concepts are: (1) user theory of law; (2) legal hegemonies; (3) interdisciplinarity; (4) concrete vs. abstract; (5) legal pluralism; (6) interactive model; (7) globalization; (8) Americanization; (9) justice motive; and (10) political engagement.
